Commencal Releases The First Photos Of 2010 Models

Commencal Europe’s 2010 line was made public by Commencal Europe at a kickoff event held in Andorra last month. This gave fans an opportunity to see models that will be made available to European customers beginning this fall. Carbon fiber is featured on some of the most high-spec bikes in the range, as expected.

The new carbon Meta 5 has a lighter color than the original prototype, which was used for the Sea Otter unveiling. Instead, it features a design that emphasizes visible carbon features.

Commencal has some surprises in store for 2010 season here in the U.S. Mike Raney, brand manager, said that Commencal will make full use of its unique relationship this year with BTI, a global parts distributor, and their joint suppliers. Huh? Raney becomes agitated when Raney asks for an English translation. The project is shrouded in secrecy. Listening to conversations around the coffeemaker at BTI will reveal that?choice seems to be the buzzword.

Some speculate that the US will launch multiple components for each bike. Mike Raney is not being completely transparent about this. This is the largest amount of information anyone has ever been able to get from him. The complete list of US-spec bikes will not be revealed until the end of this summer. The mystery will be solved by Interbike and time.
